2.0 Online Invoicing – FreshBooks

In: Recommended Tools

10 Feb 2009

Earlier today I had a chance to “talk shop” with local Wilmington, NC SEO/SEM guru Ty Downing of Perspective Internet Marketing. We traded a couple of website recommendations and it occurred to me how odd it was that two guys like ourselves who literally spend hours everyday online frequent totally different sites and use different services in the same market. One of the sites I mentioned to him and one of my favorite tools is FreshBooks.

I use it to send invoices and estimates to clients and collect secure payments. You can brand it to fit your company’s design theme and it works with several payment gateways including Google Checkout and PayPal. For me, it actually makes invoicing fun. I would describe it as the Anti-Quickbooks solution. It lacks all the clutter and fringe features of QuickBooks that I frankly have no use for. Oh, and as with the tradition of all my Recommended Tools – there is a free version you can test out before making a commitment.
