You love Gmail. You can’t imagine using any other platform for sending and receiving emails. Gmail almost made email fun. You recommend it to all your non tech-savvy relatives. You check it in the morning before you leave for work and again when you come home. But there’s one problem – your boss loves Outlook. He loves Microsoft (or thinks he does) so much that he’s not even aware of Gmail or Google Apps. I mean Outlook even syncs up with his desktop calendar! Why switch? Well i say switch because Google’s solution is more powerful and more portable.
Introduce him or her to Google Apps. Google describes it as “Software-as-a-service for business email, information sharing and security.” Basically that means your company can do everything it’s been doing, but perhaps more efficiently and certainly in a more intuitive environment. Best of all is that there is a free edition (ad-supported). Your boss can even sync Google Calendar/Gmail with Outlook and his smart phone automatically.
